Bachelor programs mark the beginning of any academic career. Successful completion of one’s Bachelor studies leads to the first academic degree: the Bachelor’s degree. In academia, Bachelor’s degrees constitute the qualification condition for taking up Master studies. Depending on the respective field of study, several types of Bachelor’s degrees can be distinguished, e.g., Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.), Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.), Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.), and Bachelor of Musical Arts (B.M.A.). Bachelor programs usually last three years.
